Life Lately no. 2

It's been a hot minute since I've updated y'all with what I've been up to, so I thought today would be the perfect time for a little life lately post. If you're new around here, don't worry! This is only the second time I post one. My Life Lately posts are like a coffee date with friends, just chit-chatting about the latest happenings of life. And since we're all friends here, not much is off limits ;) So let's get started... I took a bit of a sabbatical from social media in March and I enjoyed nearly every second of it. Not constantly having a phone in my face trying to take the perfect picture to post made everyday things so much better. I felt much more present. There's a big part of me…

March Goals

February went by fast and furiously. So many fun and good things happened this past month, though honestly I can't help but get a little emotional when I think back to how difficult February was last year. After a sudden death in my family, my struggle with anxiety reached an all time high and it was hard to imagine life ever feeling "normal" again. So for that reason, I don't take for granted the good days, because I can remember all too well the rawness of the super tough days. If you're in a difficult season, remember that it's just that, a season, and it won't go on forever. :) I hope y'all are okay with me getting so real with you. I don't write this blog to appear to be anything other than…

Spring Cleaning

While spring is technically still a couple of weeks away, it hasn't stopped me from getting a little spring cleaning done this past week. The weather has been so warm lately and ever since my first pool day, I've been in total summer mode! There's something about warmer weather that makes me want to deep clean my apartment. Slowly I've been going through different parts of my place and sorting my stuff into toss, donate, and keep piles. It's been the best! This past weekend, I really rolled up my sleeves and got to work. And I have to say, starting the week with a perfectly clean house puts a major pep in my step. If you're looking for a few ideas to jump start your spring cleaning, keep on reading! :) Spring Cleaning List:…

Natalie is honestly one of the sweetest, most genuine people I've ever met! She is the author of Wholeheartedly a devotional for single women - which has become one of my absolute favorite devos (tbh I've read it over three times).  Not only does Natalie write devotionals, but she also blogs over on her self-titled site Natalie Met Lewis.  She's writes about all seasons of relationships - from singleness to marriage - and is a huge encouragement to women everywhere.  Needless to say, I was truly overjoyed when she asked to interview me for her blog. I'm sharing all about my life as a single gal and much, much more! Hop over to her site to read the full interview :)

Prayer Journaling

Faith is a huge part of my life, it's the "saint" behind Saint + Cypress in case you were curious! :) So I want it to be something I talk about here regularly on the blog. It wouldn't feel right to not include such a big part of my life. So without further adieu, let's talk about prayer... Prayer is a crucial part of my faith walk, yet it's one of the things I tend to struggle with the most while following Jesus. I have studying the bible and going to church on lock, but prayer... it's just doesn't come that easy to me. Growing up, I was taught to recite pretty formal prayers and for many years I thought that was the only way prayer worked. As an adult, I've learned that prayer is…

Weekend Edit

Well, another week is in the books friends! And what a week it was! On Tuesday, I got to attend one of my favorite PR events of the year with Clarins. This was the third time I had the privilege to attend their spring preview, and every year it seems to get better and better! I've already incorporated a few of their new products into my daily routine and can't wait to tell you more about them! This week at work felt like a particularly productive one, and that always feels so gratifying to me. I like to work, and I like to work hard. I'm a big believer in celebrating the little victories in your life and this week I had a few of those little victories at the office! Now that February…

All About Valentine’s Day

Get ready friends! Valentine's day is almost here. Whether you look forward to this day or totally dread it, I've thought of a few ways to hopefully help you enjoy the day a little more. When I was a kid (okay even through high school), Valentine's day meant two things: Mama making heart shaped pancakes for breakfast and receiving fun candy treats from classmates. (more…)

The faster life moves and the busier our schedules get, the more difficult it can be to stay on top of our chores. So I've come up with 5 tips that I find make for a more organized week. (more…)

February Goals

I honestly feel like the month of January went by nice and slowly. I enjoyed easing into the new year and getting a nice grip on making the most out of my new schedule. The first two weeks of the month weren't the most productive outside of work, but I definitely got my act together for the latter half of the month and am content with the progress I made towards my yearly and monthly goals. Getting to put a check mark next to each goal you set out to achieve can be gratifying, but I find it even more satisfying to think about how the month went on a deeper level. The underlying themes of my January were 1) to say yes to more fruitful uses of my time and say no to distractions…

January Favorites

V-Neck Tees | Peppermint Tea | Blue Oil | Baby Lips | Rosewater Spray | Mascara Primer I'm really not the most high maintenance girl. For the most part, I know what I like and stick to what I know works best. Although I do love testing the latest beauty products #guilty. This last month, I found myself reaching for these products over and over again. What were your go-to products this past month?
